I do welcome to the website of TMSS Medical College, one of the specialized health service as well as medical education providing sector of TMSS located in the north Bengal of Bangladesh. TMSS is one of the largest developmental organizations in Bangladesh which has been working among the rural people for 30 years. From the practical knowledge, the organization has understood that only the micro-credit or other developmental activities are not sufficient for the rural people’s development. Moreover, without sound health, how it can be possible for a person to work attentively in various levels? Education is also considered as.

We know that TMSS is one of the largest developmental organizations in Bangladesh which has been working among the rural people about 30 years. From the practical knowledge through long journey the organization thinks that without the sound health, how it can be possible for a person to work attentively in various levels? To materialize this theme, TMSS has established its Health Sector and several educational institutions to provide health services as well as to expand medical education. It is found that health remains an integral component of TMSS’s development intervention since its inception in 1980.

I am delighted to welcome the students who are interested to pursue their MBBS course in TMSS Medical College. TMSS Medical College has well qualified faculty members having vast teaching experience and strong academic background. It has also created modern facilities for producing competent medical professionals needed to respond to the requirements of the society as well as the nation. The college has a natural and beautiful campus having excellent academic atmosphere located at the out skirts of the Bogura town which is free from noise, pollution, politics and hazards those might hamper the desired devotion towards study. We have already 13th batch of students in MBBS.

TMSS Medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital (TMC & RCH) is a focal point of TMSS Health Sectors. Rafatullah Community Hospital (RCH) was established in the year 1995 at Thengamara village by Professor Dr. Hosne- Ara Begum the founding Executive Director of TMSS through the financial assistance of Terre des Homes- Netherlands. It has been launched with the dream and theme to deliver health care services to the poor and rural people of Northern Bangladesh at an affordable cost. In the first phase in 1995, a 10 bed hospital was put into service.

The MBBS course is divided into four phase. In Phase-I, Pre-Clinical activities are conducted by the department of Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry. Total duration for Pre-clinical activities is 1.5 year. The 1st Professional Examination and result publication could be held within the mentioned period. The total marks in three Pre-clinical subjects are 1300 in which Anatomy-500, Physiology-400 & Biochemistry-400 marks in each subjects. Pass marks are 60% separately in written, oral and practical examinations. Detailed information about the department are given below.

In Phase-IV, Clinical activities are conducted by the department of Medicine & Allied, Surgery & Allied and Obstetrics & Gynecology. The duration of Clinical is 1.5 years. The Final Professional Examination will be held within the mentioned period. There will be a total of 1500 marks in which Medicine & Allied 500 marks, Surgery & Allied 500 marks and Obstetrics & Gynecology 500 marks. Pass marks separately 60%.
